These applications are thoroughly checked for:
- Verification of all the certificates
- STCW'95 courses with the issuing authorized academies
- Valid passports
- Valid national seamen book
- Valid certificates
We also conduct enquires with their previous employment agencies for their on board conducts and performance report. Only those candidates with good references are short-listed for interview and final selection is carried out. Each individual is thoroughly briefed on his job scope and expectations.
Moreover, we would require our principals to provide us with complete vessel particulars / condition of the vessel and period of layup. It is superlatively essential to get such feedback, which enables us to brief the on signers.
The finalised candidates will then be sent to an accredited hostpital to go through a thorough medical examination.
Test that are carried out include :
- Chest X-rays
- Blood test
- Urine samples
- Drug and Alcohol test
- and the mandatory HIV/AIDS Test.
Any other specifically requested test can also be carried out.
Once the candidates are deemed ' fit ' for work they will then be given a basic orientation to help them cope better in a new environment. All required paper works such as, processing of travel documents, immigration formalities and air tickets shall then be done.
